The Baked Feta Pasta That Broke the Internet

Posted on July 07 2025, By: Bastijn Siedenburg

If you missed the viral baked feta pasta the first time around, now’s your chance to do it right. This dish is pure comfort. Cherry tomatoes roasted until they burst, a block of feta baked until it’s soft and creamy, and a good squeeze of rich extra virgin olive oil (use more than you think). Stir it all together, toss with pasta, and you’ve got something magic with barely any effort.

Here’s how we make it:

Ingredients

  • 1 block of feta (full-fat)

  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes

  • 3–4 garlic cloves, smashed

  • Your favourite pasta (short works best)

  • Salt and pepper

  • OilWell olive oil and plenty of it

  • Optional (but recommended): fresh basil, chilli flakes, lemon zest

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.

  2. In a baking dish, add tomatoes, garlic, a big glug of OilWell olive oil, salt, and pepper. Nestle the feta block in the centre. Drizzle more oil over the top.

  3. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the tomatoes are blistered and the feta is golden.

  4. While that bakes, cook your pasta in salted water. Reserve a bit of pasta water.

  5. Remove the dish from the oven and smash everything together into a creamy sauce.

  6. Toss in your cooked pasta. Add pasta water as needed to loosen.

  7. Finish with a drizzle of OilWell, fresh basil, and chilli flakes if you like a kick.

Why It Works

The feta brings salty richness, the tomatoes bring sweetness, and the olive oil brings it all together. Use a bland oil, and it’ll fall flat. Use OilWell, and it sings.

This one’s a keeper for lazy Sundays, midweek dinners, or impressing guests without stress.
