About OilWell

We’re a husband-and-wife team who cook with extra virgin olive oil every day. Living around the Mediterranean, including a few years in Barcelona, meant olive oil was always on the table, in the pan, poured over just about everything.

Back in the UK, we couldn’t find anything like it. Most good oils here are strong and heavy, with little choice if you want something lighter. The rest are bland or poor quality. And the ones worth eating are priced for special occasions, not everyday cooking.

OilWell is our answer. Single-origin Arbequina from Spain, light, fruity, smooth. We pay our farmers and suppliers fairly, and we put it in a bottle designed to be used. Not tucked away.

Having tasted dozens of different types of olive oil from all over Spain, nothing could compare with Arbequina. It's truly a special little olive that produces a delicious olive oil!

Everyday Chef Experience

Extra virgin olive oil can, and really should, be used everyday. It's the most important part of the Mediterranean diet and it is great to cook with, lovely as a dressing and why not have a spoonful first thing in the morning...

British Made

Our olives are grown under the Spanish sun, but the rest of OilWell’s journey happens much closer to home.

Once pressed, the oil travels in bulk to the UK where it’s bottled locally. Every element of our packaging, from the squeeze bottles to the boxes, comes from UK suppliers. It keeps our footprint lighter, supports local makers, and means every bottle is finished with the same care that goes into the oil itself.
